Roadside Beauty

So even with my hectic week, I had time to bust out a couple of projects. OK if I would stop trying to squeeze so much in I wouldn't be so crazy but a girl has to have her priorities!
Check out this beautiful table I found on the side of the road!!! What, "you say the 70's called and want their table back?" Prince Charming was mortified when I made him pull over, but I knew I saw something in that little ole ugly table that was waiting to get out. It wasn't like I jumped in a dumpster to get it. And heck it wasn't even in my neighborhood so know one even knew me.
Oh who am I kidding neither of those things would bother me. Wanna guess which one of those things I have done?
Ewwww, no I did not jump in a dumpster but I did go ask a neighbor for their doors they were throwing away.
I started by removing the ugly wicker bottom because let's face it was U-G-L-Y! The top was already missing, so I asked Prince Charming to cut me a new top out of some oldcrap scrap we had laying around. Then I painted the whole thing with some cheap black paint and now look.....
Isn't it cute??? I think it turned out just adorable and it goes perfectly on my front porch next to my black wicker furniture. And it was free, free, free baby!
Whenever I makeover something like this I always want to go back and show the original owner. Some may say it is trashy but I like to think of it as saving the world one piece of ugly furniture at a time!
Enjoy!

That looks so good. I love it, and agree very much. Something you find and be fixed up and just look completely different and amazing.
ReplyDeleteAwesome job.
Thanks Rachellynn, it makes me want to hang on my front porch now!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you saved that little table! It looks fabulous!
ReplyDeletegail
You really brought that table back with your creativity. We don't have "quality" trash like this where we live! ;0) Glad to join as a follower and see what else you can do!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I'm not ashamed to pick up my neighbor's "trash" either...you know, another girl's treasure.
ReplyDeleteCompletely transformed, it looks great!!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from RE!
I know, I took a hand me down entertainment center from my sister and painted black. I think she covets it now secretly. Great table.
ReplyDeleteIt's turned out awesome! I'd love that in my house!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to RE!
